Dead Son Rising is Gary's sixteenth solo studio album. Co-written and co-produced alongside Ade Fenton it was originally released in 2011 and is widely considered as one of Gary's strongest and most cohesive releases.

Heavy, dark and deeply cinematic, Dead Son Rising is a blend of industrial rock and electronic music. Many of the tracks are deeply personal, exploring troubled relationships and emotional betrayal. In addition, songs such as ‘We Are The Lost’ and the title track ‘Dead Sun Rising’ pull from a sci-fi fantasy novel that Gary was writing at the time.

Dead Moon Falling is the companion remix album that was originally released in 2012. Featuring remixes by Tim Burgess (Charlatans), Alec Empire (Atari Teenage Riot), Gazelle Twin and Sonoio (NIN) amongst others.
